The AARC is regularly involved in State government affairs across the U.S. on issues such as RT licensure minimums, scope of practice, Advanced Practice Respiratory Therapist (APRT) initiatives, and the establishment of an Interstate Compact. The Government Affairs team offers guidance in the form of recommended language and best practices and collaborates with state respiratory care societies for continued outreach.
