Transport Safety: Considerations for Patients and the RT

About this Webcast

Respiratory therapists are vital for ensuring patients and clinicians move from one location to another safely, whether the transport is a trip to radiology or movement to another facility. This panel discussion will focus on major areas of patient and clinician safety for both intra- and inter-facility transport, including impact of transport on medical interventions and the patient’s hemodynamic status as well as maintaining team and crew safety during transport.

Note: One of the inhaled nitric oxide transport setup options discussed during this presentation, Transport Safety: Considerations for Patients and the RT, has not been tested, has not been established as safe or appropriate, nor is it supported by Mallinckrodt.  Please consult your INOmax DSIR Plus manual or call (877) 566.9466 for further details on the cleared recommendations for the use of DSIR Plus for transport.

Sponsored by an unrestricted educational grant from Mallinckrodt.
