The Art of Mechanical Ventilation: Patient-Ventilator Interaction

About This Course

The primary goal of this presentation is to provide an engaging learning experience with respect to the use of mechanical ventilator waveforms in patient assessment. This presentation will describe how to interpret waveform scalars for the presence of patient-ventilator asynchrony, discuss the cause and clinical implications of the asynchrony, and provide recommendations for modifications to set ventilator parameters in an attempt to correct the asynchrony.

Successful completion of this course requires a score of 70% on the post-test.

Original webcast date: December 15, 2021

**Please note that all programs require the participant to view the entire program prior to taking the final quiz and obtaining a course certificate.**

Seminar Objectives

Identify inspiratory asynchrony using pressure and flow-time scalars
