About This Course
This presentation provides a practical overview of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), including its definition, pathophysiology, and classification using current diagnostic criteria. Participants will explore evidence-based mechanical ventilation strategies designed to optimize gas exchange while minimizing ventilator-induced lung injury.
Course Objectives
- Define and describe acute respiratory distress syndrome in alignment with current Berlin criteria.
- Classify ARDS.
- Develop evidence-based mechanical ventilation strategies as part of ARDS treatment.
