Improving Patient Care in Lung Cancer: How Can Thoracic Oncologists and Respiratory Therapists Work Together Effectively?

This case-based course explores the expanding role of respiratory therapists across the lung cancer care continuum. Through three clinical cases, participants will examine RT engagement in early-stage lung cancer management, respiratory complications of novel bispecific therapies, and goals-of-care communication in the critically ill oncology patient. This activity provides practical strategies for interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize symptom management, treatment tolerance, and quality of life in patients with lung cancer.

Presenter: Michelle Rausen, MS, RRT, RRT-NPS, RRT-ACCS, FCCM
