Terms and Conditions

Promotions

By registering for this event, the registrant acknowledges that the AARC may offer future promotions which may yield lower registration fees than those paid in the current transaction. The registrant enters into this agreement knowing this risk and understands that should that happen; refunds will NOT be issued for the difference.

Cancellation

Cancellation Protection

AARC Congress 2020 LIVE! cancellation protection may be purchased for the 4 Day Registration for $27 at the time of registration only. Those purchasing this option may cancel for any reason and receive a 100% refund. Protection covers the total amount paid for AARC Congress 2020 LIVE! registration fees and any other meeting add-ons. Cancellation protection is not available for One Day, Senior or Student registrants. Registration and cancellation protection must be purchased together.

Cancellation

A written cancellation and refund request is required via e-mail. Emails must be dated no later than at 11:59 p.m. on the following dates.

Nov. 20 Registration Only Monday, Nov. 16, 2020
Dec. 3 Registration Only Monday, Nov. 30, 2020
Dec. 5 Registration Only Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020

No refund requests will be accepted after these dates. Refunds will be processed after the meeting. Send request to aarc@xpressreg.net.

Unless cancellation protection is purchased, refunds will be issued minus the following administrative fees.

Full Registration (Member, Non-Member, Non-Member (+) and Exhibitors) $125
Daily Registration: (Member, Non-Member, Non-Member (+) and Exhibitors) $50
Full Registration (Seniors, Students) $20
Daily Registration (Seniors, Students) $10

Substitution Policy

Registrations for those unable to attend may NOT be applied to a future year’s meeting. Registration transfers are permitted with a paid administrative fee of $35. If the substitute is not an AARC member, payment of the difference between the member and non-member fees will also be required. Substitution requests must be submitted in writing by Nov. 11, 2020 and sent via email to aarc@xpressreg.net.

Privacy and Personal Information

The AARC may, at its discretion use comments or feedback left by attendees in chat rooms for promotional and marketing purposes. All chat room content becomes the property of the AARC. By registering for this event, you hereby grant the AARC permission to use your comments/feedback for these purposes.

By registering for this virtual meeting, you acknowledge that your name, city/state and place of employment (information otherwise displayed on your live meeting badge) will be shared with exhibitors for exhibit booths with whom you enter. Consistent with AARC privacy policies, your email address and/or phone number will NOT be shared with any outside entities, including exhibitors. You may be asked for your contact information by booth personnel, but it is your prerogative whether to share that information.

Exhibitor communications may be sent to those attendees who “opt in" to receive them. If you “opt out”, you will be excluded from these communications. All exhibitor communications will be sent to you via the AARC or a 3rd party entity. Your email address will NEVER be shared with any exhibitor unless you do so voluntarily.

Should you choose to register for an industry-sponsored educational symposium or exhibitor event, please know that by doing so you are voluntarily providing the symposium sponsor with select demographic information that they may use for direct marketing purposes.

Code of Conduct

The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) is committed to providing a professional, friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all participants at its meetings, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin or other protected class.

This Code of Conduct may be revised at any time by the AARC and the terms are non-negotiable. Your registration for, or attendance at, any AARC event indicates your agreement to abide by this policy and its terms. Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated during any portion of a meeting or event.

Unacceptable behavior includes but is not limited to:

  • Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning speech or actions.
  • Harmful or prejudicial verbal or written comments or visual images related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability or other personal characteristics, including those protected by law.
  • Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images.
  • Real or implied threat of professional or financial damage or harm.
  • Disruption of presentations during sessions, in the exhibit hall, or at other events organized by AARC throughout the virtual meeting. All participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and any AARC virtual event staff.
  • Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services. AARC reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations.

Reporting Harassment to the AARC: If you see, overhear or experience a violation of the Code of Conduct during a virtual event, and would like to report a violation, please email AARC staff at info@aarc.org.

Photography/Video

No individual or entity other than the AARC may record (audio or video) any portion of AARC Congress 2020 LIVE! for any purpose without the prior written consent of the AARC.

Digital photos of PowerPoint slides are prohibited. All presented content is the intellectual property of the lecturer. Presenters (at their discretion) may choose to share their slide deck via the mobile event app, otherwise requests for slide decks must be made directly with the presenter.

Exhibitors

Marketing/Solicitations During the Meeting

Solicitations for products or services may only take place in the virtual exhibit hall. Solicitations in chat rooms is strictly prohibited.

Only confirmed exhibitors may solicit products or services to meeting attendees or other exhibitors. Registered attendees are NOT permitted to solicit to other attendees or exhibitors.

Removal from Meeting

The AARC reserves the right to revoke log-in credentials for any attendee/exhibitor (for any reason) without refund.
