Mark Lotz, MSML, RRT took part in the annual West Central Region Sophomore Career Fair, held at John Wood Community College in Illinois. Managed Healthcare Executive (MHE) interviewed Jonathan Ko, BS, RRT-NPS, AE-C regarding his work in developing a new COPD care program. This new program resulted in a reduction of readmissions. Read the story at the MHE site.

The Halifax County Board of Health named Bruce Robistow, MPH, RRT as its new director. Robistow’s previous experience ranges from serving as vice president of the Halifax Regional Medical Center, a combat medic for the U.S. Marine Corps as a Navy Corpsman, and a respiratory therapist. Ken Czechowicz, MS, RRT, director of clinical education for respiratory therapy at River Valley Community College, and Kevin Krawiec, M.Ed., RRT, associate professor and program director, along with their team, recently received new manikins to enhance their new simulation lab. According to the press release, the realistic manikins – SimMan, SimMom, SimBaby, and Nursing Anne – can be programmed by the instructors to simulate different medical conditions and symptoms.
