The AARC website is intended primarily for use of members of the American Association for Respiratory Care as a resource for information on general respiratory care.

The information contained on this website is intended to be used as a general information source. It is not intended to be used as a substitute for consultation with your health care provider or to replace the relationship between the patient and physician.

The American Association for Respiratory Care is a professional membership association. Many individuals provide content for this website, which is edited by staff members of the AARC. Some of these staff members are respiratory therapists who are Registered Respiratory Therapists.

Confidentiality

Members of the AARC are admitted to protected areas of our website and must use their member number to gain access. Their membership in the AARC is the only criteria needed to enter these areas, and no additional information is collected or required to these areas.

Advertisers who buy recruitment advertising in our publications are provided with free listings on our website as defined in our policies.

Financing and Funding Sources

The AARC and its website are financed primarily through the dues of members of the organization and through non-dues revenue sources such as its educational programs and conventions. There are no conflicts of interest.

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we deem that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.
