RT Internship – RESPIRATORY CARE Journal

Remote internship will allow respiratory therapists an opportunity to learn the processes of peer-review, journal production, and other activities of RESPIRATORY CARE. Interns will:

  • Shadow Editor in Chief and Managing Editor in the manuscript decision process.
  • Assist Editor in Chief and Managing Editor in editorial decisions as assigned.
  • Shadow Journal staff in the production process (proofreading, etc.).
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings by Skype.
  • Prepare a paper for publication in RESPIRATORY CARE.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Journal activities.

Qualifications are registered respiratory therapist; minimum baccalaureate degree, graduate degree preferred; 5 years or more experience as a respiratory therapist preferred; published in RESPIRATORY CARE or other peer-reviewed journals preferred; reviewer for RESPIRATORY CARE or another peer-reviewed journal preferred.

The intern must commit to 8 hours/week for 6 months; either January to June, 2021, or July to December, 2021. A small stipend will be provided.
