Respiratory Therapy Faculty/Director of Clinical Education – Kennebec Valley Community College

Kennebec Valley Community College (KVCC) is accepting applications for the position of Respiratory Therapy Faculty/Director of Clinical Education.

The Respiratory Therapy Faculty/Director of Clinical Education is responsible for all aspects of the clinical experiences of students enrolled in the program, including organization, administration, continuous review and revision, planning for and development of locations (with appropriate supervision) for evolving practice skills, and the general effectiveness of the clinical experience. Educational responsibilities include: teaching, curriculum development and review, academic advising, etc. Schedule may include day, evening, and online classes.

Candidates for the Respiratory Therapy Faculty/Director of Clinical Education must have a baccalaureate degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE), hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current state license, have a minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care, and have a minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor.

Salary and benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the Maine Community College System Trustees and the MEA Faculty Unit.  Benefits include: Retirement choice of Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) or Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA-CREF) – in lieu of Social Security; full employee health/dental insurance and approximately 60% of cost for dependent coverage; life insurance paid by the MCCS; Personal 2 days/year; and Sick 9 days/academic year.
