Spiras Health is a Nashville-based, population health provider who is taking a new approach to delivering clinical care to patients. We collaborate with patient’s physicians, health plan, discharge planners, and other ancillary providers to help improve quality of life, improve compliance, reduce exacerbations, and reduce unnecessary hospital visits for the patients we are privileged to serve. Our patients are typically living with COPD or other chronic respiratory diseases and often other chronic conditions as well. Our vision is to deliver care to patients with complex needs in the comfort of their homes while reducing their fear, uncertainty, and anxiety about their condition. We use technology to bring care to the patient in the home and have developed a team structure to ensure we do so with clinical expertise every time.
Because of our continued growth, we are looking for additional empathetic and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists to be part of our amazing team.
The Respiratory Therapist will become an integral part of a Clinical Care Team, working with Nurse Practitioners and Physicians to manage the overall health of a defined group of patients in collaboration with the patient’s primary care and specialist physicians. The Respiratory Therapist will be accountable to manage the patient experience and care for a defined panel of patients in and near the community around them. The job requires daily travel and a reliable vehicle. Successful candidates for this position will understand and be comfortable with mobile technology and have a deep commitment to exceptional patient care. Strong knowledge of COPD, pulmonary function, and pulmonary rehabilitation are the keys to success in this role.
Duties will include conducting home-based patient clinical assessments, follow-up home and telephonic assessments of patients, providing patient education, maintaining patient compliance to a treatment plan, conducting routine diagnostics such as spirometry, and charting assessments in Spiras systems. The therapist may make visits to local physician practices with whom Spiras collaborates in support of the enrolled patients. Business mileage is reimbursed per company policy.
This is a personally and professionally rewarding position and it allows the colleague an opportunity to provide health care services at the top of their training. The position is home-based and affords flexibility in work hours (and no daily commute routine). There is the potential for expanded opportunities with the company as we continue to grow.
Any applicant must be currently licensed without restrictions in the state served. Adjacent state licenses are a bonus.
This is a full-time position and eligible for benefits.
