Since 1947, the AARC has advanced the arts and science of the respiratory care profession, advocated for enhanced access to the respiratory therapist and provided world class continuing education to the respiratory therapist and interdisciplinary audiences.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The AARC is seeking an Education Assistant with a service-oriented mindset responsible for providing educational support to all internal and external stakeholder groups.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Education Manager, the Education Assistant is responsible for providing educational support to all internal and external stakeholder groups. This includes clerical, data entry and customer service support as appropriate. The Education Assistant must be adept with technology and be comfortable with change that comes because of technology.

A service-oriented mindset is an absolute requirement for this position as the Education Assistant is a forward-facing representative of the Association with member. They should seek to be the first (and last stop) the member requires during their interaction with members.

The Education Assistant will assume all other duties as assigned that contribute to the mission, vision, strategic plan, and values of the AARC.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Educational Product Support

  • Must be able to master knowledge of product line and possess the ability to communicate/educate members about said product line.
  • Must be able to maintain entire educational portfolio association’s learning management system.

Travel

  • Must be available for periodic travel. 1-2 times per year. 3-5 days per occurrence.

Technology

  • Adept at, and comfortable using technology. Willing to learn new technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Word and Excel (preferred)

Customer Service

  • Outgoing, service-oriented personality (required)
  • History working in a customer support role (preferred)
  • Has the ability to work as an individual and part of a team

Clerical

  • Experience with data entry (preferred)
  • Ability to type 40-50 words per minute

The Education Assistant will assume all other duties as assigned that contribute to the mission, vision, strategic plan, and values of the AARC. 

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS

  • High school diploma or equivalency required

LOCATION
Living in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is required
