Respiratory Therapist $15,000 Sign-On Bonus – United Health Services

United Health Services in Upstate New York is seeking full-time Respiratory Therapists to join our teams at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY, Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY, and Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY.   • Up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with 1+ years of experience

  • Local market competitive wage of $26.66-$41.08/hour depending on experience

Respiratory Therapist Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure respiratory therapy services are administered in a timely, accurate, and reliable fashion
  • Administer respiratory therapies such as secretion mobilization, IPPC, incentive spirometry, MDI, oxygen, cough assist/vest, and aerosol treatments
  • Manage alarms from BiPAP-CPAP and high-flow cannula/humidifier therapies
  • Conduct procedures, diagnostic or otherwise, including suctioning, fit testing, extubation, PFT with DLCO, bronchoprovocation, pulmonary function, bronchoscopy, adult and pediatric EKG, pulmonary stress testing, and pulse oximetry
  • Perform adult, pediatric, and neonatal CPR life support
  • Manage mechanical ventilation and respond to alarms
  • For the Blood Gas Laboratory, perform arterial puncture, quality control, and DOH and CAP proficiency testing; manage critical values and laboratory safety
  • Appropriately record and report results of all procedures

Position Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Licensure/permit or license eligibility to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in New York State
  • CPR certification within 3 months of hire
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
