Full & Part-Time

For decades we have responded to the unique needs of Stamford and Lower Fairfield County. But Stamford Health is more than a hospital with a local address. We have a world-class reputation for our expertise and compassionate patient care. We are pleased to see our vision through and provide a broad range of high-quality health and wellness services.

We are currently seeking experienced RRTs to join our medical team that focuses on helping people with respiratory challenges.  We have two rotating day/night positions. One is part-time 25 hours/week, two (2) 13-hour shifts, and the other is full-time working three (3) 13-hour shifts. Both positions are responsible for occasional charge responsibilities.

RRTs work as part of a team of therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to manage patient care. Under medical direction, you’ll provide treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardio-pulmonary system in critical care areas.

RRT responsibilities include:

  • Administering oxygen and medication, chest physiotherapy, mechanical ventilation, arterial blood gas puncture and analysis
  • Evaluating treatment effectiveness and appropriateness, and making clinical decisions based on physical assessment and chart review

Qualified Registered Respiratory Therapists will have:

  • Graduated from an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
  • Current, valid Connecticut Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
