Respiratory Care Manager and Respiratory Clinical Quality Coordinator – Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago

 Respiratory Care Manager (night shift)

In collaboration with director and department leadership team, the respiratory care manager oversees daily operations to ensure the highest quality care, patient satisfaction, regulatory compliance and staff engagement. Develops staff through coaching and mentoring, serves as a leader to guide complex projects within the department and organization, and provides patient care as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care program
  • Bachelors Degree required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Active RRT Credential, Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential by the NBRC within one year of hire.
  • 2-3 years of experience in neonatal and/or pediatric critical care.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership skills, ability to work with a team; excellent written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership in a collaborative and facilitative style.

Clinical Quality Coordinator (day shift)

The Clinical Quality Coordinator leads and participates in strategic quality improvement and innovation work within the respiratory care department and across the organization.  This position will have shared responsibility for providing facilitation, coordination services, consultation and management of various quality improvement and safety activities. Coordinates with department and division physician leaders as well as other clinical leaders to identify opportunities to decrease clinical practice variation and improve quality of care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care program
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Active RRT Credential, Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential by the NBRC within one year of hire.
  • 2-3 years of experience in neonatal and/or pediatric critical care.
  • Previous quality improvement experience preferred
