AARC is pleased to announce the appointment of Kia Reid, MAEd, as our new Vice President of Education & Accreditation, effective October 27, 2025. Kia brings more than 15 years of national leadership experience in healthcare, government, and professional associations, including senior roles with the Certified Financial Planner Board, the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute, and the American College of Radiology.
Kia has a strong track record in online learning innovation, accreditation oversight, and program development. She has led large-scale continuing education initiatives, implemented advanced learning technologies, and developed competency-based pathways for professionals. At AARC, she will focus on expanding and modernizing our education and accreditation portfolio, ensuring our programs remain innovative, scalable, and aligned with best-in-class online standards.
To keep respiratory therapy expertise at the heart of our educational offerings, AARC will also be hiring a Director of Education & Content — a licensed respiratory therapist — who will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all clinical content. This Director will work closely with Kia to ensure every program reflects the highest professional and clinical standards of our field.
Together, this leadership model will allow AARC to deliver professionally grounded, technologically advanced education that meets the evolving needs of respiratory therapists nationwide.
