Current Chair
Brian K. Walsh, RRT-NPS, RPFT Brian Walsh is a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Respiratory Care department of at Children's Hospital of Boston. Mr. Walsh is a graduate of Old Dominion University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2001. He was the supervisor for UVA Children’s Hospital Respiratory Therapy Department for six years (1999-2005) before being selected by the department of Pediatrics as a research coordinator (2005). Prior to being supervisor Brian was a Senior Therapist for four years (1996-1999). He recently joined Children's Hospital of Boston. Brian Walsh is currently involved in education, research, and patient care activities. He has been an active member of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) since 1994. He has served the Virginia Society for Respiratory Care (VSRC) since graduating from Respiratory Therapy School in 1995, volunteering for many committees and offices including President (2004). Currently Mr. Walsh serves as the Chair of the AARC Protocol Implementation Committee and was recently elected Neonatal/Pediatric Chair. Brian is the co-editor for Perinatal and Pediatric Respiratory Care 3rd ed and has author or co-authored over 20 publications. He is a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) instructor and is known for his clinical expertise in the management and education of pediatric respiratory disorders.Previous Chairs
