Gene is CEO of Respiratory Support Services, a Tennessee-based provider of post acute care. He has been a member of the AARC since 1975.
In addition to his role as chairman of the Long Term Care Section, Gene
is active in the Tennessee Society for Respiratory Care and has held a
number of different positions. Currently he is chair of the TSRC Standards
of Care Committee for Alternate Delivery Sites. He was appointed by the
governor to the Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care in 2006.
Gene held clinical and management positions earlier in his career, but
since 1983 has been focused on development of post acute care systems,
specifically in the area of caring for ventilator dependent patients in
the home and sub acute skilled nursing facilities.
Gene received the Long Term Care Practitioner of the Year award in 2004.
