Melynn K. Wakeman, BS, RRT, RPFT, RPSGT, has been an AARC member since 2000. She is currently associate vice president of GPE Commercial Advisors, a full service commercial real estate solutions business in Phoenix, AZ.
Prior to her current position, Melynn was the manager of pulmonary diagnostic services at the Mayo Clinic and Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. In addition to overseeing pulmonary diagnostics, she helped to develop a nicotine dependence center and pulmonary rehabilitation program during her time at Mayo Clinic.
Melynn has served on the AARC’s Smoking Cessation Committee and was a member of the Arizona Society for Respiratory Care board of directors in 2002-2004. She served on the board of directors of the Arizona Department of Health’s Tobacco Education Prevent ion Program in 2004-2006.
Melynn earned her BS degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ, in 2006 and her respiratory therapy degree from Gateway Community College, also in Phoenix, in 1991.
