Help the Parents of a Child with a Tracheostomy
"A Caregiver's Guide to Pediatric Tracheostomy Care” is a new educational video presenting the real-life activities of a couple caring for their young daughter with a tracheostomy. This half-hour comprehensive training video focuses specifically on pediatric tracheostomy care in the home. It's an excellent tool for parents and other health care providers, and supplements your discharge information provided to families of pediatric tracheostomy patients. This new DVD for Pediatrics is now available in the AARC Store.

Honoring Those Who Serve
The Awards Ceremony at the AARC Congress will once again feature a tribute to AARC members and their family members who are serving in the military, and we want everyone who qualifies to get the recognition they deserve. RT Assistance Needed for Alpha-1 Study
The Alpha-1 Foundation is asking RTs who work with Alpha-1 patients to help spread the word about a new study getting underway at the National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver . If you work with these patients, please read more about the study and consider how you can help.

Pharmacy Compounding Issues Aired in New Article
Pharmacy compounding of medications was the topic of a recent article on a pharmaceutical industry web site. The author quotes FDA officials, who go on record in support of a stance long held by the AARC and its partners in the Consumer Health Alliance for Safe Medication.
