RC Week—Have Fun, and Share!
National Respiratory Care Week kicks off on Sunday, and we hope you all have a wonderful week!
When all is said and done,
please consider sharing your activities with the rest of us by going and
filling out our post-RC
Week form. There’s a place to upload a picture too, so be sure
to snap some great shots of your events. We’ll compile the results
in a feature on the AARC web site and in AARC Times.
Voting has Begun!
No, we’re not talking about the Presidential race. This election
is for your 2009 AARC officers, directors, and section chairs. Active
and Life members are eligible to vote, so click on the link and make your
voice heard!

Phase Out: The Clock is Ticking
In less than 12 weeks, your patients will have to make the switch to CFC-free
inhalers, and it’s up to you to make sure they are well informed
about the change and how to keep it from interrupting their treatment
plan.
HAI Guidelines Get Thumbs Up from AARC
The AARC has signed off on new guidelines aimed at curtailing the incidence of preventable healthcare associated infections (HAIs). The Association provided extensive input to the guidelines writing group and was pleased to see most of its recommendations included in the final document.
