Earlybird
Registration for Congress Ends Oct. 31
The latest in respiratory research, opportunities to network with peers, the chance to meet and greet experts in the field, an Exhibit Hall full of cutting edge products and services, AND all the CRCEs you need for your state license—the 2008 AARC Congress has all that and much, much more. But the deadline for earlybird registration is coming up soon—Oct. 31—so if you plan to go to the meeting, act now to take advantage of the savings!
You can maximize your Congress experience too, by attending our Noninvasive Ventilation Course and Workshop or Asthma Educator Certification Preparation Course. Both take place right before the main event—and are eligible for earlybird registration until Oct. 31 as well.

North
Carolina Respiratory Care Board Endorses URM
RT departments in North Carolina are expected to benefit from a recent
endorsement of the AARC’s Uniform Reporting Manual (URM) by the
state’s licensing board. The move should help managers when negotiating
with consultants to determine staffing levels.
State Societies Support Disaster Fund
Four state societies have just contributed to the AARC’s Disaster Fund. Thanks to the recent state society donations and other individual donations, the AARC Fund has helped dozens of RTs in the area.
Get
Vaccinated!
The AARC recently sent a representative to an HHS meeting in Washington,
DC, aimed at improving influenza vaccination rates among health care workers.
The Association was pleased to take part, and is urging all of its members
to set an example for their colleagues by stepping up to be vaccinated
for the flu this flu season.
