RC Week Resources Help You Plan for a Great Week
National Respiratory Care Week will be here before you know it—October 18–25—and we have some great ideas to help you plan this year’s events. New Videos Show Congress in Action
We’ve just posted several new video clips on the AARC Congress web pages and invite everyone to check them out to see what this premiere educational event of the year has to offer. You might even see yourself or someone you know!

RTs Invited to Apply for Alpha-1 Foundation Grants
The Alpha-1 Foundation has opened up 2 new grant opportunities to respiratory therapists. The first targets Alpha-1 testing in the VA system, while the second focuses on innovative ways to detect Alpha-1 in people with COPD.

Journal Podcasts Habla Espanol
In an effort to better accommodate its Spanish-speaking readers here in the U.S. and around the world, Respiratory Care has debuted a new Spanish version of its popular monthly podcast covering journal content. Both English and Spanish versions of the August edition are available now.

New Flu Vaccination Recommendations
The CDC has issued new flu vaccine recommendations, including a call for all children age 5–18 to receive the shot. Previous recommendations suggested the vaccine only for children age 6 to 59 months.
