Congress
Overrides Veto on Medicare Package
Just hours after President Bush vetoed the Medicare Package,
both houses of Congress overturned the veto. That means pulmonary patients
win on three fronts: 1) a clear Medicare pulmonary rehab benefit, 2) an
18-month delay on competitive bidding, and 3) repeal of the 36-month rent-to-own
provision on home oxygen equipment. You can write
to your members of Congress to thank them.
