AARC Website Interruptions, July 10–11
On Thursday and Friday, we'll be updating various aspects of our website. This means AARC.org may experience some down time, most notably in the AARC store, the online dues payment system, and our online testing area, Examination Central. These upgrades will help us better serve you in the future. If you need help or have questions on those days, our customer service staff is here to assist you. Call us at 972-243-2272 to order from the store, register for events, or make a dues payment.

July Podcast Ready Now
The July issue of Respiratory Care is out now, and so is our latest podcast with great summaries of the papers included in the issue. You can listen to the 18 minute report on your computer, or subscribe to the monthly service and automatically receive new podcasts via iTunes or any other podcatcher using our RSS feed. Wondering whether the podcasts are worth your time? Your fellow members say they are. We’ve received great feedback on this new feature, with members calling it “fantastic” and a “great service.”

Hyperbaric Roundtable Considered
Do you have an interest in hyperbaric medicine? If so, weigh in and let us know if you’d participate in a Roundtable and email list on that topic. We want your input by July 13.

Infant/Toddler PFT Guideline Featured in July Journal
When you listen to the new journal podcast (see previous article), one thing you’ll learn more about is our newly published Clinical Practice Guideline on Infant/Toddler Pulmonary Function Tests—2008 Revision & Update. Be sure to review this important new guideline and put it to work in your practice.

RC Idol Returns!
The 2007 AARC Congress featured a new program called “Respiratory Care Idol Auditions” that gave people who would like to speak at the Congress a chance to “try out” for the 2008 meeting. The event was such a big hit that we’re bringing it back in Anaheim this December, and you can register to participate right now. Applications are due by September 15.

New Government Stats Highlight RT-Related Hospitalizations
New statistics from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality show RT-related hospitalizations are among the most common for adults and children. Take a few minutes to peruse the data and see what’s happening nationwide and in your state as well.
