Mass
Casualty Planning Guidance Helps You Help Your Community
AARC
members all across the country are stepping up and helping their communities
plan for a mass casualty event. Now the AARC is providing a new guidance
document aimed at making that job easier. “ Guidelines for Acquisition
of Ventilators to Meet Demands for Pandemic Flu and Mass Casualty Incidents”
is available online now.
AARC
Requests Meeting with Surgeon General
AARC wants to meet with the Surgeon General to urge adoption
of recommendations in an internal report that states that qualified RTs
be commissioned into the U.S. Public Health Service.
AARC
Meets with HHS on Disaster Planning
At HHS request, AARC leaders traveled to Capitol Hill last
week for a meeting aimed at helping the government hash out the details
on training the first group of RTs to be accepted for the department's
new disaster response program and other collaborative efforts. Go online
to learn more about how your professional association is working with
government officials on these important projects.
We
Got Google!
The AARC's search engine is now powered by Google, and that
means easier, faster, and more accurate searching of the association web
site. Just type your keywords into the search box on the front page of
the site and chances are, you'll get just what you were looking for!
FREE
Continuing Education Available
You've
received the resource in the mail. But have you taken the test yet? We're
talking about the booklet entitled “Use of Inhaled Nitric Oxide
in the Hypoxic Newborn” that went out to members in May. All AARC members
are entitled to take the online post test and earn 4 FREE CRCE credits!
The booklet was made possible by an unrestricted educational grant from
INO Therapeutics.
