CHEST Supplement Draws from AARC Mass Casualty Guidance Document
AARC has contributed to a framework for national preparedness and prioritization published as a supplement to the May issue of CHEST. Definitive Care for the Critically Ill During A Disaster is the title of the document now available online. AARC member Richard Branson sat on the task force that developed the document, bringing the respiratory therapist’s view to the multidisciplinary group.

AARC Member Receives Presidential Appointment
President Bush has appointed AARC member Michael R. Anderson, MD, to an influential group aimed at planning for the needs of children during disasters. The 10-member National Commission on Children and Disasters will complete a study to assess the needs of children in disaster situations, then submit a final report to the president and Congress outlining specific recommendations.


AARC Times Seeking Military Stories
AARC Times would like to feature military members in an upcoming issue, and we’re hoping folks who are serving will take a few minutes to email us with some information about their deployments and a photo of themselves in their uniforms.
