CMS Hears from AARC on Home Sleep Testing
CMS is considering a revision in policy that would cover home sleep testing for Medicare patients, and the AARC is working to ensure the government agency addresses the competency of testing professionals in the process. Association comments emphasize patients deserve qualified professionals whether they're being tested in the lab or at home.  


May is Prime Time for Asthma
May 1 is World Asthma Day, and the entire month of May is Allergy and Asthma Awareness Month here in the U.S. Find out what the AARC is doing, and learn more about how you can get into the act as well, by using these events to raise awareness of asthma in your community. COPD Foundation Launches Research Registry
The COPD Foundation is building a new confidential database of COPD patients who may be willing to participate in research projects, and as a key Foundation partner, the AARC is doing its part by getting the word out to members.


AARC Member to Present at FDA Meeting
Frank Salvatore will represent the AARC at an upcoming Food and Drug Administration meeting aimed at exploring the problems that can arise when medical devices find their way into the home and how government and private stakeholders can ensure patient safety. Salvatore will speak to the group about respiratory care concerns.
