Senate Success: S 2704 Introduced!
The Medicare Respiratory Therapy Initiative has been introduced into the Senate and a bill number has been assigned. S 2704 will create better access to care for respiratory care patients by creating more opportunties for respiratory therapists. Read about this exciting piece of news for the profession.

PACT Heads to DC on Sunday
The bill introduction comes at an opportune time. Next week members of the AARC’s Political Advocacy Contact Team make their way to Washington, DC, to meet with their members of Congress about important respiratory legislation. The trip marks the eighth time the AARC has marched up Capitol Hill and reflects the growing influence we’re having in our nation’s capitol. Plan Now to Present at the 2008 Open Forum
The Open Forum is always a highlight of the AARC Congress, and every year we hear folks say they’d like to present at next year’s meeting. Well, if you are one of them, now is the time to get to work on your abstracts. The submission deadline for the 2008 meeting is coming up in just a few short months. All submissions must be in by June 1. The good news is, you can submit everything right online!
