Continue to advance our international presence through activities designed to address issues affecting educational, medical and professional trends in the global respiratory care community.

Continue to promote and facilitate a total transition to protocol delivered respiratory care.

Continue to develop and execute strategies that will increase membership and participation in the AARC.

Identify the clinical/non-clinical duties, attributes and characteristics of the “Respiratory Therapist 2020” based on the needs of respiratory care patients and the evolving health care system.

Promote effective, efficient and timely communication at all levels through out our association and chartered affiliates.

Support and advance strong active chartered affiliates that are strategically positioned to meet the needs of the membership.

Advance quality continuing education to enhance the skill base of current practitioners and meet the future needs of our profession.

Continue to promote clinical research in respiratory care.

Equip and prepare our profession to participate in disaster preparedness management and response within the areas of our professional expertise at both state and national levels.
