What steps will you take to strengthen international exposure of respiratory care?
As appointed chair in 2008 I reached out to counterparts in the international community and have already received visitors from Bogotá Colombia and Germany who provide ventilator care in a skilled nursing facility setting. I have already submitted proposals for the 2008 Congress to include these international speakers.
How would you suggest we recruit and educate the leaders of the future for the AARC?
In our recruitment efforts we should strive to expose the new recruits to a broad base of practice possibilities that exist. We should strengthen our exposure to both high school students and the counselors who work with them at this level.
With the introduction of the Medicare Respiratory Therapy Initiative Bill in Congress, how are you going to work to get that bill successfully passed?
Continue to press the importance of this issue to legislators.
