AARC Offers Online Continuing Education Credits
April 24, 2002 (Dallas, TX) - The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) is proud to announce its new, easy-access, online education system. This system now offers health professionals access to quality education on an on-demand basis.
The system, called Continuing Respiratory Care Education Online (CRCE Online), offers four high-quality, multi-media or text-based courses, each presented by leaders in their respective fields:
- Pediatric Asthma in the ER,
- Introduction to Mechanical Ventilation Waveform Interpretation and
- New Developments in Respiratory Drugs, Medications and Delivery Devices.
The courses, accredited for respiratory therapists, are equivalent to 7 contact hours of continuing education credits. Although only accredited for respiratory therapists, the quality information can be beneficial to anyone working with patients with respiratory issues. Additionally, AARC members are provided with online tracking and verification of their CRCE Online credits.
CRCE Online is accessible through the Education section on the AARC web site, at www.aarc.org/education.
The AARC is made up of respiratory care professionals from all over the world and represents some 30,000 members. As the leading professional membership association of respiratory therapists, the AARC focuses primarily on respiratory therapy education and research. Its goals are to ensure that respiratory patients receive safe and effective care from qualified professionals. The Association also advocates, on behalf of pulmonary patients, for appropriate access to respiratory services provided by qualified professionals.
