ARCF, INO Therapeutics Announce INO Literary Award

For Immediate Release

Irving, Tex. (July 21, 2004) – The Trustees of the American Respiratory Care Foundation (ARCF) and INO Therapeutics are pleased to announce the establishment of the INO Literary Award. The $50,000 endowment is designed to recognize outstanding “First Author.”

Michael T. Amato, Trustee Chairman, says, “This endowment is a wonderful addition to the Foundation’s line-up of respiratory therapy awards. The Foundation, and most importantly the profession, is grateful to INO Therapeutics for its support of respiratory therapy. This corporate group and the Foundation’s other industry partners make everything we do possible,” he adds.

INO Therapeutics is a global pharmaceutical company committed to developing breakthrough therapies in the critical care areas of heart and lung function. The company is focused on providing innovative treatments to healthcare professionals and patients.

“We are excited to begin the creation of a closer working relationship with American Association for Respiratory Care, and the endowment is a great place to start,” states Gary Pyner, Director of Global Marketing and Business Development for INO Therapeutics.

Amato says donors establish endowments with the ARCF to recognize achievements made by individuals working in specific areas of research. Endowments not only encourage further education and research in the field of respiratory care, but also bring recognition to the named donor supporting the respiratory profession.
