AARC Announces Ninth Corporate Partner, INO Therapeutics

IRVING, TEX (October 4, 2004) – The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) today announced the addition of INO Therapeutics to its Corporate Partner Program.

INO Therapeutics is AARC's ninth corporate partner and joins other world-class organizations that support the AARC, a professional membership association for respiratory therapists.

 “INO Therapeutics has joined eight other elite companies and we look forward to the success of our mutual efforts,” said AARC's chief operating officer Kevin Shrake, MA, RRT, FAARC.   INO Therapeutics recently endowed the INO Literary Award for the American Respiratory Care Foundation, a not-for-profit organization formed for the purpose of supporting research, education, and charitable activities. The INO Literary award is designed to recognize the outstanding “First Author” of scientific research published in Respiratory Care.

 “We are very pleased and excited about becoming a corporate partner with the American Association for Respiratory Care,” states Gary Pyner, Director of Global Marketing and Business Development for INO Therapeutics. “ Respiratory therapists are an integral element to our business,” Pyner continued. “Becoming involved in developing respiratory therapy educational programs will only enhance the relationship we have formed.”

INOMAX is indicated for the treatment of newborns with hypoxic respiratory failure. “We have been building on the success of INOMAX,” said Gary Pyner, Director of Global Marketing and Business Development for INO Therapeutics, “and we are actively investigating additional indications in other diverse patient groups. Today, INO Therapeutics is supporting nine Phase II/Phase III clinical trials and 27 investigator initiated trials that will enroll over 3,000 critically ill patients worldwide. INO Therapeutics will continue to explore the opportunity to develop new therapies to meet the unmet medical needs of critically ill patients while enhancing the ability of health care providers to care for their patients”, Pyner continued.
