Ohio Students Host Hot Air Contest

The Student Organization for Respiratory Care (SO2RC) at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, OH, celebrated RC Week by marketing career literature and sponsoring pulmonary function screening for the university community. In addition, they sponsored a peak flow contest to raise money for the AARC Disaster Relief program. SO2RC's first ever, "Who Has the Most Hot Air on Campus?" competition raised $100 for the relief effort. Trophies were awarded to the male and female participants with the highest recorded peak flows. Michelle Bell, a sophomore in the respiratory care program, was one of the co-winners of the event.
