NLHEP Spirometry Booklet Back in Stock March 22, 2007 AARC members who ordered free copies of “Simple Office Spirometry for Primary Care Practitioners” by leading pulmonologists Thomas L. Petty, MD, and Paul Enright, MD, will tell you the booklet provides lots of great information to share with physicians about the use of spirometry in the physician’s office setting. If you missed the first opportunity to order copies for physicians in your community, a second chance is here. Thanks to the National Lung Health Education Program (NLHEP) the booklet is back in stock, and AARC members may once again order copies for free. Just e-mail NLHEP Program Associate Gretchen Lawrence with your name, AARC member number, full address, and how many copies you would like to receive. “This booklet makes a great giveaway to local physicians and their office staff, and it can also be used as a handout for departmental continuing education programs,” says Lawrence. “We encourage everyone to take advantage of this free resource to educate primary care physicians and respiratory therapists alike on the important role office-based spirometry can play in uncovering chronic lung disease in its earliest and most treatable stages.” Please note: While this booklet is not copyrighted and may be freely downloaded and printed out from the NLHEP web site, no person, group, organization, or company may put their name on the booklet. The booklet cannot be changed in any way, and the NLHEP name and logo must appear as is on the back cover of the booklet.
