Here’s our latest roundup of AARC members who’ve made headlines across the country –
- Brandy Davis, CRT has quickly become a standout at the University of Maryland Medical Center; this article explains where she has come and where she is going.
- RT student Russell Carpenter is quoted in this article in the Anderson, SC, Independent Mail about an asthma camp for kids in his community. Russell volunteered his time as a counselor at this year’s session.
- Jerry Ethridge is profiled in this article in Georgia Trend magazine about six health care professionals who have been named “health care heroes.” Jerry talks about his department’s success curbing ventilator-associated pneumonia and the involvement of therapists on his hospital’s version of the rapid response teams sweeping the nation.
- Leslie Phillips is recognized for her volunteerism in this article in the Forest Park, OH, Hilltop Press. Leslie won the Extra Mile Parent award from her local school district for all the hours she spent helping out while her kids were in school. 1997 AARC President
- Kerry George is featured in this article in the Des Moines, IA, Register about a summer camp for kids interested in health care careers. Kerry served as one of the camp instructors and used the opportunity to show kids the difference between healthy and unhealthy lungs.
