  • John Hardy is noted as part owner, along with wife Paula, in the PrairieThunder hockey team in this article in the Clinton, IL, Journal. A lifelong hockey fan, John will share more about the International Hockey League team and why he decided to buy into it in an upcoming issue of AARC Times.

  • Tim Myers is interviewed in this article in the Ohio State University Medical Center’s Allied Med Today about his upcoming AARC presidency. Tim, who graduated from Ohio State in 1989, will take over as AARC president at the International Respiratory Congress in December.

  • Chris Garvey comments on a 3,500 mile bike ride made earlier this summer by COPD patient Mark Junge in this article in the San Mateo, CA, County Times. Junge made the trip to raise awareness of living well with COPD – something he learned in part how to do in Garvey’s pulmonary rehabilitation program.

  • Richard Lynch is featured in this article on MPNnow.com out of Rochester, NY, for receiving a long-overdue medal from the Navy for his service in Vietnam. He was honored with the Navy Commendation Medal for Valor for helping to rescue 3 Marines while serving as an Army medic back in 1969.

  • Timothy Morris, MD, is noted for receiving the Outstanding Clinician award from the California Thoracic Society in this article on the University of California, San Diego Medical Center web site. Dr. Morris serves as medical director of respiratory services at the hospital, which was recently named a top hospital for respiratory disease by U.S. News and World Report.
