AARC has extended its social media presence to Pinterest, a network based on the concept of sharing images.

We know that many of our members may be using Pinterest to track and catalog ideas and thoughts on many aspects of their life; now respiratory therapists on Pinterest have a professional home too.  We invite all members to follow the AARC on its Pinterest page.

Additionally, to get started, we’ve made two good pages ready for sharing. One touts AARC membership, so that repinning the image on that page will help spread the word about the AARC. The other page promotes the respiratory therapist in general. “We invite all Pinterest users to go to those pages and pin them to their own boards,” said Sherry Milligan, associate executive director of communications.

Milligan explained that Pinterest is a platform that simulates a digital bulletin board that allows you to post pictures and categorize them into subject areas. “It allows you to collect ideas and pictures you’d like to keep handy, and as you pin these photos on your own Pinterest page, your followers see and share in your interests.”

AARC is active on several social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
