“We want to ensure that everyone who has an idea gets the chance to develop it and share it with the Program Committee,” said Doug Laher, Associate Executive Director.

The Program Committee will meet the first week of February to plan the program at this year’s meeting, which will be held Nov. 5-8, 2011 in Tampa, FL.

Laher explained that all ideas and proposals must come through the AARC’s Easy Street submission portal, to ensure that they are consistent with Program Committee guidelines. Easy Street is also used for the submission of Open Forum abstract proposals.

The International Respiratory Congress features over 250 lectures and symposia. All of them come from ideas that members of the AARC and the respiratory community share with the Program Committee. “What we offer truly is built by what our attendees tell us they want to see,” said Laher.
