As the Drive4COPD program launches, we’d like to share the inspiration and ideas generated by other AARC members. Get in on the movement to screen 1 million individuals for COPD!

  • Iowa State Fair
Iowa Society for Respiratory Care members screened over 600 visitors to the Iowa State Fair.

  • Schell Family Reunion
Karen Schell of KS cares about her family’s health! She took the screener forms to her family reunion. Now the whole Schell clan knows more about COPD and their risk.

  • Cider Days
You can also see Karen Schell and her crew at Cider Days, where 1,000 people are expected at the joint Kansas City and ALA event. If you’re in Topeka, Cider Days might be a good place to go.

  • Reynolds and Reynolds Health Fair
In College Station TX, Michael Nibert, screened 86 employees at a company health fair. He has other health fair opportunities lined up this fall and hopes to screen many more.

  • Respiratory Care Week
Lots of folks are lining up to get screeners for their Respiratory Care Week events. You can too! Don’t be left out.

  • Minnesota State Fair
State fairs are popular venues this time of year; over 300 Minnesotans got screened at their fair.

  • County Fairs
And let’s not leave out the county fairs! Nebraskans in Franklin County are getting screened.

  • Missouri HOG Rally
We’re not sure if this is for motorcycle riders or pigs, but we’re happy that Shawna Strickland has her crew out in Missouri.

  • Heart Walk
In Rapid City, SD, those attending the Heart Walk also got a lung screen.

  • Richmond International Raceway
They probably won’t get to screen all 80,000 attendees, but expect a good number from Virginia on race fans screened here.
