Watch Your Mailbox for Free CRCEs

March 28, 2008

A special AARC member benefit will arrive soon in your mailbox! A booklet entitled Four Clinical Cases in Neonatal Intensive Care was mailed directly to you on March 28 and should be delivered sometime over the next three weeks. This booklet offers these great advantages:

  • A special benefit for AARC members only
  • Latest information on neonatal intensive care
  • 4 CRCE credits
  • It’s free!

The booklet resulted from a special symposium held at the AARC’s 53rd International Respiratory Congress in Orlando last December. The presentation of the symposium and production and mailing of the booklet were enabled by an unrestricted educational grant from IKARIA.

In the words of Rich Branson, symposium chair, “This year’s breakfast symposium concentrated on clinical problems in neonatal intensive care with an emphasis on costs of care and long term outcomes.”

Each of the four presenters provided questions for the audience and an audience response system was used to immediately evaluate response of the attendees. These questions are included in this monograph along with the speakers’ expanded written presentations of their cases. “This program revealed the relative lack of consensus regarding treatment of neonatal respiratory failure and the wide range of current practice. We have made great progress, but our understanding of the long term consequences of our current treatments is in its infancy,” said Branson.

Approved for 4.0 contact hours of continuing education credit (CRCE)—free of charge to all AARC members—this is a unique opportunity for you to stay ahead of the curve in this ever-changing health care environment.

Make sure you take advantage of another AARC membership benefit!
