Forrest Bird Featured on 60 Minutes

Respiratory therapists everywhere got the chance to learn more about a legend in their profession on Sunday evening when Forrest Bird was featured in a 60 Minutes interview with CBS reporter Morley Safer.

Dr. Bird discussed his long career in both medicine and aviation during the segment, even explaining how he invented the first modern respirator using a doorknob from the hardware store.
