The AARC website is intended primarily for use of members of the American Association for Respiratory Care as a resource for information on general respiratory care.

The information contained on this website is intended to be used as a general information source. It is not intended to be used as a substitute for consultation with your health care provider or to replace the relationship between the patient and physician.

The American Association for Respiratory Care is a professional membership association. Many individuals provide content for this website, which is edited by staff members of the AARC who may or may not be respiratory therapists.

The AARC is committed to protecting the privacy of all website visitors. We intend to abide by the privacy rules and regulations of medical/health information that apply in the United States. Our website practices and policies regarding visitor privacy are described below.

Information Collected
Our system collects information about the origin and site navigation of website users. This information is used to compile statistics on website use to help us improve our site.   • In the AARC web sites, we use cookies if an area of our site is password protected. This cookie is remembered until you log off of your web brower. This cookies allows you access to certain information available to members only.

The AARC does not currently accept advertising on its website, however, certain vendors are displayed on our site as sponsors of editorial content and services delivered via the web. Their logos, but no information about the company, may be displayed.

Financing
The AARC and its website are financed primarily through the dues of members of the organization and through non-dues revenue sources such as its educational programs and conventions.

The AARC website contains links to other sites. It is our goal to select credible websites as links. However, AARC is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of linked websites. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policy of each linked site.
