We are pleased to announce the establishment of a new group within the AARC that will allow members interested in or currently working in the field of polysomnographic technology to share information and ideas. The Polysomnography Electronic Mailing List is an internet-based community for any AARC member interested in sleep medicine.

The group's first order of business is to establish an electronic mailing list for anyone interested in discussing topics related to polysomnography and sleep medicine.

Through interactive discussion and information-gathering on this list, the group also hopes to accomplish some other goals:

1. Investigate the feasibility of implementing a roundtable or section for Polysomnographic Technology (AARC 2003 Goal).
2. Develop and implement strategies to advance the use of respiratory therapists in the field of polysomnographic technology.
3. Improve AARC member awareness toward issues such as professional involvement in the field, legislative restrictions, and continuned professional education related to polysomnographic technology.
