COMMENTS:

Very rewarding experience - what a wonderful collection of Respiratory Care Professionals.

Glad that we got to listen to other state society problems and issues. The UAP topic provided good information for fixing problems and/or prophylaxis.

Give a time limit to speakers!

Some people seem to go to the microphone "just to be there".

Our biggest difficulty continues to be the cost of bringing a full delegation. We don't quite qualify for assistance but cannot afford to divert funds to send both delegates.

It would be nice if each affiliate would list 3 key issues that they are tackling and this is written down and shared with all affiliates. Why could we not present resolutions during joint sessions so the BOD hears them early?!

Great meeting - Thanks to everyone's efforts!

It's hard for new delegates to meet other state delegates, it would be nice for "old timers" to have a session or group meeting to personally meet and "induct" new delegates - to make personal contact and make new delegates feel more at home. We need more information disseminated to general state memberships besides the board. Many members don't pay a lot of attention to what the board is doing and won't listen. We also need to let the general membership know what the HOD is about. May members don't' want to get involved in the "politics" so won't run for office and find out the structure of AARC.

Limit speaker time. Some speakers repeat themselves and ramble. Their information is important, but not more important than others.

As a first timer, it was nice to see how effectively business was being done.

There were six resolutions submitted in time for delegates to discuss with their state boards. There were five resolutions submitted late, that we were NOT able to discuss with our state boards. "Emergency" resolution may need to be better defined.

Limit speaker time. Some ramble and repeat themselves several times.

First delegate meeting but found it to be very positive and informative.

Great meeting!

In response to question 3 about communication between HOD and BOD:
Much improved.
Much better and more positive this year.

In response to question 4 about resolution process:
It appears that many of the resolution are just about saving members money or freebies and that's not only what the AARC/HOD is about.

In response to question 5 about "Open Microphone":
Time limits please.
Time limits and trip limits!

In response to question 7 about formal and informal networking:
We need more informal networking between different states.
